Ray Takeshita

President and CEO, Diamond Realty Management America

As an integral part of the asset management and financial business development divisions for Mitsubishi Corporation, Ray Takeshita brings more than 20 years of real estate and private equity investment experience to his role as President and CEO of Diamond Realty Management America (DRM). Ray leverages this vast experience to shape the firm’s vision, guide its acquisition strategy, and manage relationships with its key development and investment partners across the United States.

Previously, Ray was Managing Director of the Strategic Planning Department at Diamond Realty investment, Inc. (DRI) in Dallas, where he spearheaded corporate strategy, planning, and fund raising. He also led the Strategic Investment Department at Diamond Realty Management (DREAM), a leading asset management company in Japan with a primary focus on U.S. debt and equity markets. He was instrumental in growing DREAM’s assets under management in the U.S. to more than $1 billion.

Prior to DREAM, he served as the Director of Japan Industrial Solutions (PE Fund) and led a Hong Kong-based JV private equity investment firm as Managing Director focusing on mid-small cap corporate investments. Earlier in his career, Ray was acquisition manager of Mitsubishi Corporation UBS Realty Inc. and guided the firm’s investments in industrial assets.

Ray holds an ME from Tokyo Institute of Technology and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
